Do all your employees understand the implications of the SRA Standards and Regulations?
The SRA Standards and Regulations came into force in November 2019, introducing 2 new codes.
The regulations reiterate that each solicitor is personally responsible for compliance with the Codes and each firm is accountable for the actions of all of its employees. It is not sufficient simply to rely upon the COLP to deal with any issues or assume complete responsibility for the firms’ compliance.
We can provide training to your lawyers and all team members to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and obligations as a Solicitor and employee, knowing that any, albeit inadvertent, breach can prove very costly for the firm and individual alike.
Are they clear on the key risks and requirements of GDPR and the implications of a data breach?
When the General Data Protection Regulations came into force in 2018, there was understandably confusion and panic about the changes that were required in organisations and the implications of breach.
Whilst most firms have introduced new processes and made changes designed to comply with the new rules, there is still confusion about the reach of the regulations and the practical implications for law firms, in their day to day activities.
We can provide training on the regulations, common pitfalls and potential data breaches, things to watch out for, data protection and e-privacy. We explain the application of data privacy impact assessments and the core components of a well drafted privacy notice.
